Step 1: Get a Metamask Wallet
You can set it up as a Google Chrome extension or an app on your phone. Remember to create multiple physical backups of your Metamask wallet keys and store them securely. You lose your keys, you lose your tokens. Download your Metamask wallet here.

Step 2: Add Polygon to your Metamask
This bit is configuration. Don’t worry you only have to do it once. Metamask does not come pre-loaded with Polygon network, as it does with Ethereum. Here is how you add Polygon Network to our Metamask.
Click on your profile pic on the right top corner.
Click on settings.
Select Networks
Click on ‘Add Network’
Enter the details as below and hit Save:
Network Name: Polygon Mainnet
New RPC URL: https://polygon-rpc.com/
Chain ID: 137
Currency Symbol: MATIC
Block Explorer: https://polygonscan.com/
Step 3: Connect Wallet to Polygon
Go to https://wallet.polygon.technology/wallet. Click on Connect Wallet. It will ask you to sign up with any one of your accounts. Select Metamask.
It will now ask you to sign a transaction on the blockchain. This transaction is to log in and should be asking you to spend any MATIC.
